Our Classes
We offer a nurturing environment for children at every stage of their early development. Our classes are designed to cater to the unique needs of each age group, helping them grow in confidence, curiosity, and creativity. The classrooms are equipped with age-appropriate toys to enable us to implement our curriculum. We continually review and update our environment to allow us to deliver the best possible education and care for the children in our school.
Below is an overview of our classes:
Weeping Willow Trees (3 months to 1 year)
In our Weeping Willow Trees class, infants are gently introduced to a world of discovery through sensory experiences, music, and early socialization. Our caregivers provide a loving and safe environment, ensuring each baby’s physical, emotional, and cognitive needs are met as they begin to explore their surroundings.
Peaches Trees (1-2 years)
The Peaches Trees class is designed for toddlers who are walking. This is a time of rapid growth and development, and our program focuses on language development, basic motor skills, and social interaction. Children are encouraged to explore their world through play, guided by caring teachers who provide a stimulating environment for learning.
Olive Trees (2-3 years)
In the Olive Trees class, children are beginning to develop independence and social skills. Our curriculum focuses on early language development, creativity, and building self-confidence. Through structured play and group activities, children begin to learn about the world around them, fostering curiosity and cooperation.
Oak Trees (3-4 years)
The Oak Trees class is for children who are fully potty trained. At this stage, children’s cognitive, social, and emotional skills are growing rapidly. Our focus is on fostering independence, developing fine motor skills, and introducing early literacy and numeracy concepts. Through hands-on activities and play, children begin to develop a love for learning.
Yellowwood Trees (4-5 years)
In the Yellowwood Trees class, children are prepared for the transition to formal education. We emphasize school readiness by introducing more structured learning activities in literacy, numeracy, and problem-solving. Social skills, emotional development, and creativity are nurtured through collaborative activities, ensuring that each child is ready for the next stage of their educational journey.
Palm Trees (5-6 years, Grade R)
The Palm Trees class is our Grade R class, where children are fully prepared for primary school. Our program focuses on advanced literacy, numeracy, and cognitive skills, ensuring that children are well-equipped for the challenges of formal schooling. Social skills, responsibility, and self-confidence are also emphasized, giving children the tools they need to thrive in their academic and personal lives.
All children must be at the specified age in January when school opens to ensure they receive age-appropriate learning experiences. At Little Seeds Academy, we provide a safe, supportive, and enriching environment where every child can grow and flourish.
